Chronological timeline
Although the narrative does not follow a chronological order, The Venetian Cell is set in 3 different periods.
- (1943-1953): from the signing of the Allies armistice with Italy to the overthrowing of Iran's Mosaddegh government.
- (1979-1983): from the seizure of the US embassy in Tehran to the death of Klaus Nomi.
