A Colombian man is suing Israel's government after having been refused Aliya. The case is pending in front of the country's highest court and has brought international media attention to Israel's controversial Law of Return. As Sephardi interest groups organize in support of the plaintiff, the government has been forced to address the issue and form a formal committee to revise its approach as well as a more secretive sub-committee to address growing questioning regarding the origins of the country's Ashkenazi majority.
