Narrative timeline

This is the initial thread created by Pam. It is loosely written in the format of a television series and divided in 3 parts (seasons).

Chronological timeline

Although the narrative does not follow a chronological order, The Venetian Cell is mainly set in 3 different periods*.

• The Age of Anne (1943-1953): from the signing of the Allies' armistice with Italy to the overthrowing of Iran's Mosaddegh government.
• The Age of Christiane (1979-1983): from the seizure of the US embassy in Tehran to the death of singer Klaus Nomi.
• The Age of Nujood (2010- ): from the launch of Episodia on.

*Parachronic periods, one mediaeval set around the fall of The last Kazarian fortress (965) and one futuristic beginning on the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence (2026) are also being developed.

Annexes

Annexes are metadiegetic texts written by The Venetian Cell's characters.

• La Voie de l'ange, an alternate ending to Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl, is being written in French by Najwa.
• Axel's note to Neda is Najwa's only memento of her father.
• Isabella's letter to Anastasio was lost when the Royal Mail Ship carrying it sank in the Arabian Sea.
